Let’s just talk about Canadian stereotypes for a minute
So I went to a Detroit Red Wings hockey game a couple years ago with my dad and they were playing against the Edmonton Oilers. So this middle aged Canadian couple were sitting right behind us and they were obviously oiler fans and they kept screaming things like “kick his ass, [insert player name]” and “you suck”, etc, which is very stereotypical because hockey, ya know
But here’s the funny part: every ten minutes or so one of them would pat me or dad on the shoulder and apologize for being so loud and say “your team doesn’t really suck, sweetie, they’re actually quite good, sorry if we offend you” which is super sweet of them and totally unnecessary, I wasn’t offended at all, I was laughing because it was just so Canadian
So in conclusion: there is a reason these stereotypes exist
